Biography
ROBERT W. HASEL, D.D.S. Dr. Robert Hasel graduated from the University Of Minnesota School of Dentistry in 1972. For the next 35 years, Dr. Hasel was in private practice and was an Associate Professor at the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry. In 2004, Dr. Hasel was recruited to help build the restorative program at the new Arizona School of Dentistry & Oral Health in Mesa Arizona. In 2006 Dr. Hasel was recruited by Midwestern University to help build the new Midwestern College of Dental Medicine where he directed the teaching program for pre-clinical and clinical studies. Stanford University School of Medicine recruited Dr. Hasel in 2009 as Visiting Scholar, to direct the pilot project of restructuring the curriculum in the Division of Clinical Anatomy, and help build new anatomy courses in Biomedical Engineering and Digital Anatomy. In 2012, Dr. Hasel joined Midwestern University of Health Sciences College of Dental Medicine as Associate Dean of Simulation, Immersion and Digital Learning. During this time he has directed the development of the Clinical Sciences curriculum and the establishment of VirtualU@WesternU, an online platform of digital learning.During his career Dr. Hasel has traveled extensively teaching clinical dentistry and owns several patents, one of which is the invention of flowable resin composite restorative material that is in common use in dentistry today.
